Dear Fellow Roosters,
This year’s AGM will be held on Tuesday 21st November 2023 at 7pm, at the Club Rooms (as advertised on Facebook on 31 October 2023).
As many of you will have noted over recent times our Club has grown significantly. Season 2023, saw us field more than 120 Auskickers, 8 Junior Team and 4 Senior Teams. That’s more than 320+ players that call the West Footscray Roosters home.
With so much growth it’s time for us to reflect and make the necessary changes to ensure that our Club continues to grow and succeed in future years. As such, we have undertaken a review of our Club and benchmarked this against other Clubs in the WRFL.
For Season 2024, we will be moving to a ‘One Club’ model. This will be made of a new governance structure that will see us implement an Executive & General Committee that will oversee the whole Club operations (across our Seniors, Juniors and our successful Auskick program). This Committee will be supported by Subcommittee’s that will manage the daily operations of our great Club.
At this year’s AGM will be seeking nominations and votes for Executive and General Committee members.
We understand that this is a big change for our Club so we will be hosting an informal ‘town hall’ session at the Club Rooms on Tuesday 14 November 2023 at 7pm . This will be an opportunity to come down and find out more about our changes including why we are making these changes, what it will means for our Club and most importantly, how you can get involved.
