Junior Rooster Round Up – Round 6!
We had an awesome round of football this weekend. Celebrating the AFL Doug Nicholls Round, we were fortunate to have an elder perform a Welcome to Country ceremony for our Under 12 game – reminding us the importance that First Nations people continue to have on our Country, especially in this year where we all have the opportunity to vote for the Voice Referendum.
Overview from the weekend that was:
Both our Under 9’s were really competitive!
Under 10’s demonstrated excellent team work!
Under 12 Dv 3 team had a tight win over Werribee Centrals defeating them by 3 points
Our Under 12 Div 1 and Under 14 Div 1 both had byes and a well earned rest and;
Finally our Under 14 Div 4 and Under 16 Div 1, played well but were beaten on the day!
